General information
Why this site :
Following the introduction and publication of this website on spirituality, I would like to add the following, perhaps as a supplement. When addressing a subject as personal as spirituality and faith, I respect and understand that unanimity is impossible to achieve. Opinions on this subject rarely, if ever, all point in the same direction. Nevertheless, we must keep an open mind to different opinions, as this often leads us to question our certainties and to reflect more deeply and necessary on the meaning of our lives. This website is above all simply a sharing of faith and perspective, and an invitation to meditate on the precariousness of our existence. We do not possess life permanently, but only temporarily, and it seems normal to me that each of us is in some way searching for meaning. I deeply respect the different ways in which each person finds answers that are satisfactory to them in this regard.

I believe that, regardless of our faith or lack thereof, we are all searching for meaning in this world. Events on earth raise singular questions about our future. Regardless of beliefs, all humans are confronted with fundamental questions about the meaning of life, suffering, illness, beauty, and death. While the answers may vary, the quest itself is universal. I personally believe that every reasonable human being is given a second chance during their brief time on earth, and that Jesus of Nazareth revealed eternal life to them . Whatever our beliefs, I think we can all agree on the importance of being a better person, helping others, and seeking to understand the world. I see spirituality as a path to achieving this goal, but I understand that other approaches can also have the same value. Personally, spirituality does not refer to any particular religion, but rather to the search for and understanding of the transcendent nature of the Being who created so many wonders. This divine Being, who created human beings in his image, invites them to be part of something much greater than themselves. It is up to them alone to decide their destiny.
A few more words :
I also understand, of course, that for many people, scientific evidence and the absence of supernatural phenomena are solid grounds for rejecting the idea of a Creator. For all intents and purposes, a First Cause as far as I am concerned. For me, the question of the existence of a Creator sometimes goes beyond what science can explain. I see it as a spiritual quest that attempts to understand the origin and meaning of the universe, not only through reason, but also through inner experience and a sense of the mystery that surrounds us. For some, this generally means saying that we do not know, or that it is impossible to know whether God exists or not; yet the Bible is the revelation of this creative Spirit.

Do we think that the universe, in all its complexity, could be the result of chance, or is there something more, a first cause? The question invites us to reflect on the possibility of a design behind the order of the universe. How do we explain the great laws, beauty, harmony, or complexity found in nature and the universe? If life has no ultimate purpose, how can we explain the universal human desire to seek meaning in it? God, through His Word, has planted the idea of eternity in the human soul; yet man could be missing out on something truly important and wonderful for him.

The subject of the existence of a Creator is, for me, a profound and personal question. I share here my convictions, based on my own experience of faith, but I am fully aware that everyone, depending on their background and questions, may have a different view. Spirituality, like any reflection on the meaning of life, is an individual and unique journey, and we do not need to agree on everything, but there needs to be an exchange between you and me. I invite you to consider what I write as an invitation to reflection. I do not know who said this, but it was important, and it said: “The greatest tragedy is not death, but dying without Jesus Christ.” He is the only mediator between God and men and the cornerstone for all.
